We serve Austin youth and their families, at our theatres, in the classroom, and in the community. Paramount Education offers the following programs:
SUMMER CAMPS:
Paramount Education hosts Performing Arts Camps for ten weeks every summer, at the Paramount and Stateside at the Paramount, and at community sites. Registration begins in early January and most camps sell out in advance. DISCOVERY SER
IES:
The Paramount is committed to bringing world-class theatre, dance, film, music, and puppetry for young audiences to Austin. The Discovery Series has something for everyone in the family to love! Every ticket comes with a study guide crafted to the show’s content. SCHOOL MATINEES:
Each year, we bring over 15,000 students from all over Central Texas to attend a Student Matinee at the historic Paramount Theatre and Stateside at the Paramount, exposing them to world-class theatrical performances and introducing them to a vital piece of Austin’s cultural heritage. ACCESS TO THE ARTS:
We serve over 1,000 children each year from several non-profit partner agencies by providing free tickets to our shows and films. We ensure the arts and artists are accessible to everyone, regardless of their income or background. LITERACY TO LIFE:
Our professional teaching artists, the Paramount Story Wranglers, go into classrooms to use creative writing, improvisation, and drama-based activities to improve students’ writing skills, confidence, creativity, and storytelling. Throughout the residency students write original stories that are then performed by the Paramount Story Wranglers in a performance for the entire host school.
