Check out this incredibly interactive letter to graduating parents (view on desktop).

"What your sons and daughters did this weekend represents one of the most impressive demonstrations of school spirit in UT history."

We were so impressed by the efforts of the Class of 2015, who organized an impromptu celebration after Commencement was canceled, that we wrote this open letter to their parents.

Thankful for all the wonderful memories shared over a good meal at Jester City Limits. Happy Thanksgiving, and HOOK 'EM!

100 pumpkin pies, 200 pounds of sweet potatoes and 450 pounds of mashed potatoes (with 26 gallons of gravy!) were all part of a Thanksgiving feast students helped prepare by growing some of the ingredients at the UT Microfarm.

Preparing such a big meal takes quite the kitchen, and a team of chefs working in the basement of Jester ensures those ingredients make it to students’ plates. Read about the Thanksgiving dinner and how UT gives students delicious, healthy meals made of sustainable and responsibly raised ingredients. -- http://ow.ly/ETobR

Good stuff happening here at UT.

"There was a time when UT’s persistence rate was below 80 percent, which meant one in five students didn’t come back after their first year. Now it’s the highest it’s ever been."

UT is working to boost its four-year graduation rate to 70 percent by 2016 (up from 52 percent in 2013). We checked in with "graduation czar" David Laude on how the campus-wide effort is going:
