Our Hearts Are With Texas
While many across the country recently celebrated Independence Day, enjoying fireworks, family, and the blessings of summer, a different story was unfolding in Texas — one of heartbreak, devastation, and profound loss. Torrential rains brought unexpected flooding, tearing through towns, overwhelming communities, and taking innocent lives. Among those lost were several young girls attending a Christian summer camp — a loss that cuts deeply and personally for so many of us.
Here at TermPaperHelper, we are not just observers of this tragedy — we are a community that feels, grieves, and prays. This heartbreak touches us all. Several of our remote team members live in or near the affected areas and are already working on the ground to support neighbors and provide relief. Many of our student clients, collaborators, and friends call Texas home. Their families, churches, and communities are enduring unimaginable pain. We see it, we care, and we will not look away.
Moments like these remind us how fragile life is — and how vital it is to come together in love. We may not have all the right words, but we do have hope. The Psalms tell us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). That promise is not distant. It is real. It is now. It means God is present in every shelter, every rescue boat, and every tear cried in the quiet moments of grief.
Our faith compels us not just to care, but to act — in prayer, in service, and in compassion. “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2). Whether you are in Texas or far away, your prayers matter. Your support matters. Your faith matters. This is the time to be the Church — to stand in the gap for those whose strength is running thin.
Please join us in lifting up the people of Texas. Pray for the families mourning unthinkable losses. Pray for the children who survived but will never be the same. Pray for the first responders and volunteers who are serving day and night. Pray that through the sorrow, hope will rise.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). He is still on the throne. He is with Texas. And so are we.
— With heartfelt prayer,
