5 Ideas to celebrate Son's and Daughter's Day For Toastmasters
It's National Son's and Daughter's Day! Do something special for your children today.
Here are 5 ideas that you can try.
1. Find old photos of your kids and share your memory with them
Storytelling is one of the best ways to connect with others. No matter if you have young or older kids, they all love to hear stories.
2. Challenge them to create a short YouTube video
Most young kids these days want to be a YouTube influencers. Why not use this special day as an opportunity to create a video. Ask them to describe something they enjoy doing during the summer or any topic they love to talk about. Of course, you can always keep the video private.
3. Sweeten the day with sweets
You can't go wrong with adding sweets to this special day unless someone has diabetic. You can serve different flavors of cupcakes, and take turns to describe "why you just ate the best cupcake in the world."
4. Listen with a purpose
Active listening is one of the most important skills that everyone should learn. Instead of taking control of the conversation and being the center of attention, try to listen with a purpose. Take control of the conversation by asking the right questions and let your kids tell the story.
5. Share a funny or crazy story from your childhood
When I was a kid, my brother and I used to play with the electric socket and get each other electrocuted. We purposely sprinkled some water to the light switch, and when the other person touched it, he got electrocuted. That's not recommended since we can actually kill each other, but we didn't know and thought it was just a fun game.
That's my crazy story from my childhood that shocked my kids.

Legendary motivational speaker, Jim Rohn, said "You are the average of the five people we spend the most time with."
When it comes to relationships, we are greatly influenced — whether we like it or not — by those closest to us. It affects our way of thinking, our self-esteem, and our decisions. Of course, everyone is their own person, but research has shown that we're more affected by our environment than we think.
Who are the 5 people that you spent the most time with? Are they the people who can help and support you move forward?

7 Hand Gestures That Will Immediately Increase the Value of What You Say
Scientists found that the gestures we make with our hands make people pay more attention to what is being said and help them understand more.
Toastmasters International - Most of us are not tapping the power of body language when we speak on Zoom. When you consider that close to 90% of the information our brains process during video calls comes from visual data, the way we communicate nonverbally speaks volumes.
Non-verbal communication CHAOS !! 🤣 😂 🤣
