Advocacy is how we turn possibility into progress.

At Jeremiah Program Austin, we believe every family deserves the opportunity to thrive and that creating that opportunity requires more than programs. It requires advocacy.

Advocacy means listening to the voices of single mothers and their children. It means addressing the barriers that make it harder for families to access education, affordable housing, quality childcare, and economic opportunity. And it means working alongside community partners, leaders, and families to create lasting change.

Our families are not waiting for someone else to build a better future. They are building it every day!

When we advocate for single mothers, we advocate for children. When we invest in families, we invest in our community. When we remove barriers, we create pathways to possibility.

This is what advocacy looks like: listening, showing up, partnering, and taking action.

Together, we can build a community where single mothers and their children cannot only survive, but thrive.

✂️ It’s official! Yesterday, we cut the ribbon on something truly special. We are thrilled to announce the opening of two new Early Head Start classrooms at the Jeremiah Program Child Development Center, made possible by our new partnership with Child Inc.

This isn’t just about classrooms; it’s about lifting families. By combining Child Inc’s early childhood expertise with JP’s two-generation model, we are creating a space where parents and children succeed together.

A heartfelt thank you to all the JP Austin and Child Inc staff, our dedicated board members for their unwavering support, and to The Honorable Jeff Travillion for celebrating with us and recognizing the importance of investing in our community!

When you invest in both the child and the parent, the whole family thrives. Here’s to new beginnings, big scissors, and even bigger dreams for Austin families! 🧡✂️

✨ WELCOME, CLASS OF 2027! ✨

We’re so excited to begin another amazing school year! There’s something extra special about this year because three of our staff members’ own children will be graduating with the Class of 2027!

This group of kiddos hold a special place in our hearts because we have the joy of watching them grow right here at our CDC since they were infants. From their very first days with us to now getting ready for their next big adventure, it’s hard to believe how quickly the years have gone!

We can’t wait to watch each of you learn, grow, make memories, and accomplish wonderful things this year in the Bees Classroom with Ms. Katie and Ms. Kasandra.

Here’s to a year filled with friendship, discovery, laughter, and so many milestones! 🎉

🍂 TEACHER FEATURE: MS. LINDSEY! 🍂

We’re getting ready for spooky season and sweater weather with our amazing Floater Teacher Extraordinaire, Ms. Lindsey! 

Ms. Lindsey truly does it all. Covering classrooms, prepping meals, capturing special moments as our resident photographer, and most importantly, loving and nurturing our CDC kiddos.
She has always known that she wanted to work with children, and she feels so lucky that she gets to do what she loves every day! She loves seeing the world through their eyes and being reminded by their curiosity, imagination, and excitement to slow down and appreciate the little things. While she’s here to teach them, they teach her so much in return. 

This year is extra special as Ms. Lindsey celebrates 5 years at JP!  We are so grateful for all the love, memories, and dedication she has shared with our CDC family.                                                        

Cheers to 5 years, Ms. Lindsey! We’re so lucky to have you! 🧡
