On March 6, 1836, a small group of Texans made a stand that would live for generations. Their courage and sacrifice shaped the spirit of independence and determination that Texans still carry today. Remember the Alamo!
Advocating for the future of Texas infrastructure. Infrastructure is the very foundation —literally — of Texas. Adv.
It is our roads and the pipes, wells and towers that bring water to our homes. The same way we maintain the infrastructure of our homes to ensure that wear and tear does not create significant problems and costs in the future, Texas’ infrastructure must be maintained and upgraded so that we are not left to suffer the consequences of “structure neglect”.

Texas has grown fast. Really fast.
Since 2000, our population is up 50%, and travel demand has grown right alongside it. More people, more freight, more daily trips, all relying on the same road network.
That’s why long-term planning matters. Growth doesn’t pause, and neither can the infrastructure that supports it.

Congestion remains concentrated in Texas’ largest metro areas.
As population and travel demand continue to grow, thoughtful planning helps manage pressure on the busiest roadways and maintain system reliability statewide.

The conditions around road funding continue to change.
Construction costs have risen sharply, fuel tax revenues are declining, and Texas’ population keeps growing. Planning for the long term helps ensure roads remain safe and reliable as demands increase.

Texas has made meaningful progress improving its bridge system.
Since 2015, fewer bridges are rated in poor condition, and new construction has expanded capacity to meet population growth. That progress reflects years of planning and sustained investment.
