There’s no such thing as being “too late” to become a writer.

For our June Third Thursday, we’re thrilled to welcome three authors who made their book publishing debuts after age 50: Jennifer Eli Bowen, Parul Kapur, and Kalehua Kim. Their journeys to publication prove that there’s no single timeline for pursuing your creative goals—and that experience, persistence, and passion can lead to exciting new chapters at any stage of life.

Join us for a conversation about finding your way to publication, overcoming doubts and setbacks, and embracing the opportunities that come with taking the long way.

Whether you’re working on your first manuscript or simply looking for a little inspiration, we hope you’ll join us.

This event is free and open to all—RSVP at the link in our bio!

Our five readers made us laugh and cry in equal measures, and don’t get me started on the host’s overwhelming charisma...Wait, what? The show got cancelled right when it started due to a surprise summer storm? Uh oh! ☔️⛈️

While we couldn’t share readings and celebrate words like usual, our literary community sheltered together and connected, turning the event into an impromptu writer meet-up!

For those in attendance last night, you may remember we were offering an extra special giveaway - a free registration to the 31st Agents & Editors Conference! We still held the drawing (this morning in the office) and are excited to announce that Jennifer Boyd is our winner! 🥳

The One Page Salon is taking its summer hiatus and will return on September 8. Stay tuned for more news leading up to that date!
