Dear 6th Grade Parents--

Our first GMS dance this year is just for the 6th Graders! Glow Dance is a fun tradition to welcome them to middle school. Kids stay directly after school and can be picked up in the back at 5:30.

Wristbands will be distributed during 6th Grade Lunch Thursday and Friday next week. To purchase tickets go here:

We also need a lot of help to make this dance a success. To sign up to volunteer, please go to the link below-- this is the best opportunity to see your kiddo at their first middle school dance! Reminder: GMS Student Picture Day is Tomorrow, 08/28/26!

When: August 28th during ELA Class

How: ELA teachers will es**rt students to the small gym to have their picture taken.

What to Wear: Dress your best, bring a big smile, and do NOT wear green (green clothing will disappear on the green screen background!).

Students showing their creativity in Mr. Piper’s engineering class, teamwork in Ms. Gonzalez-Vachon’s class, and diplomacy in Mr. Murray’s Model UN class. Our students and teachers are starting off strong, and we cannot wait to see what they do this year.

We loved having some former Tigers on the Bowie Football Team greet our students today! They were collecting peanut butter for the Peanut Butter Bowl today and have a bin to fill! Bring your peanut butter between August 20-27 then head out to support the team at their game against McNeil next Friday, August 28 at 7:30pm at Burger Stadium.
