Forugh Farrokhzad Fifty Years Later: A Seminar

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of leading Iranian poet Forugh Farrokhzad (1935-1967) and in conjunction with a Spring 2017 UT Austin course called Forugh Farrokhzad and Her Poetry, a seminar called Forugh Farrokhzad Fifty Years Later will take place on 4 February 2017, co-sponsored by UT’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies and the Society of Iranian American Women in Austin. Here is the tentative schedule for the seminar, which will take place in Mezes Hall 1.306 and is open to the public:
2:00 pm–“Slide Images of Forugh Farrokhzad and Her Story”

3:30 pm–“The Role and Effects of Forugh’s Poetry in the History
