Ojeda Middle School

On Monday, May 18th the combined Ojeda MS choirs visited residents at the Buda Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility as well as the Watermark at Southpark Meadows Retirement Community. They sang songs they learned throughout the year and brought joy to the residents and themselves. After their performances they were able to visit with the residents as well. What a great end to our school year!

Del Valle ISD is excited to celebrate the graduation ceremonies for the DVHS Class of 2026 on Thursday, May 21 at 5 p.m. at Strahan Arena at Texas State University.

May 21 is the last day of school for all district schools, and a district-wide half day.
The dismissal times for May 21 will be different from other half-days.

Elementary Schools: 12:55 p.m.
DAEP: 1 p.m.
Middle Schools: 1:50 p.m.

What a spectacular evening it was at the recent Ojeda Middle School Charms Dance Spring Showcase – Glitz and Glam! The night was absolutely bursting with joy, energy, and celebration as our talented Charms dancers took the stage to perform their routines. Every performance reflected the hard work, dedication, and passion of these incredible students, lighting up the room and leaving the audience in awe. It was a wonderful celebration of dance, community, and school spirit that will undoubtedly be remembered as a true highlight of the year. Congratulations to all the dancers on a dazzling and unforgettable showcase!

The Ojeda Middle School Spring Concert last week was an absolute triumph, showcasing the immense talent of both our choir and theater programs. The performances were outstanding, reflecting the countless hours of practice and creative passion our students have dedicated to their craft. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from our families and community. To make an already memorable evening even more special, we were deeply honored to have Mr. and Mrs. Ojeda in attendance to witness and celebrate the incredible achievements of our talented young performers.

The Ojeda Middle School Band Spring Concert last week was a resounding success and a magnificent celebration of the dedication, growth, and hard work our band students have poured into their music all year long. The energy in the room was electric; the stands were completely full of proud supporters, and the students themselves were incredibly upbeat and radiating excitement before, during, and after their performances. To cap off an already unforgettable evening, the Ojeda community—including students, families, and staff—gathered for a wonderful potluck celebration. It was the perfect way to share great food, laugh, and honor the harmony and community spirit that our talented musicians have built together this year.

At Ojeda Middle School, academic excellence is highly valued as the foundation for our students' future success, inspiring them to reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. Hard work and dedication recently paid off for a group of Ojeda students on the A/B honor roll, who were celebrated with an exclusive, factory tour of the nearby Tesla Gigafactory. Getting a firsthand look at cutting-edge manufacturing, the students were absolutely amazed by the incredible innovation and sophisticated use of robotics driving the future of technology. This incredible experience not only rewarded their academic achievements but also sparked a newfound curiosity for innovation and STEM fields among our scholars.

At Ojeda Middle School: Attendance Matters! We believe that consistent attendance is the foundation of student success, and we recently rewarded our dedicated 8th graders with a premier learning experience. In a dynamic partnership with the Del Valle ISD CTE Department and Circuit of the Americas (COTA), students with the highest attendance percentages embarked on an instructional field trip to the world-famous F1 track. Beyond the thrill of the circuit, our students stepped into the roles of engineers, participating in a hands-on Engineering and Materials Science experiment to design protective barriers for high-speed collisions. This unique opportunity not only celebrated their commitment to showing up every day but also bridged the gap between the classroom and high-stakes, real-world innovation.

The Ojeda Middle School Athletics Banquet was a resounding success, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the dedication and spirit of our remarkable student-athletes. Throughout the evening, the air was filled with pride as coaches and program directors took the stage to offer special recognitions, highlighting not just the scores on the board, but the character, resilience, and leadership displayed on the field and in the classroom. From different team honors to individual accolades, each award underscored the hard work that defines our OMS athletics program. It was a wonderful opportunity for the community to gather, celebrate the season’s milestones, and cheer for the bright futures of these outstanding young leaders.
