The Post Mortem — Premed Projects 09/29/2022

Join us on Saturday October 22nd at 11am BST for an interactive recreated Post-Mortem. You’ll join our anatomist as we try to establish the cause of death of the individual using a semi-synthetic cadaver.

We’ll explain all the medical techniques and tests used to establish cause of death and then you’ll join our live session at 2pm BST where we will cover everything you’ve just seen in more detail and be able to ask any questions you may have about anatomy or applying to medical school.

The whole day is designed to provide some great online work experience that all students can use in their applications and interviews to healthcare careers.

Students will receive a personalised certificate for this unique interactive course and it’s also available to watch anytime afterwards for 30 days, whenever suits you best.

TeenLife is hosting a special-interest, virtual event this Thursday, May 5 called "Your Future in STEM or Healthcare." Ten programs and colleges will be giving short presentations at 6pm and 7pm EST about their STEM and Healthcare offerings. Students, educators and parents who register can opt-in or out of hearing from presenters after the event. They will also receive a recording of both sessions.

EcoRise is seeking innovative high school students to join our Summer 2022 Green Careers Academy (GCA) Internship cohort. GCA interns will participate in an immersive, paid summer internship experience designed to provide exposure to a wide variety of green careers, sharpen 21st Century and workplace skills, and foster connections with a network of green professionals representing a variety of sustainability focus areas like community resilience, green building, conservation, and more.

The application is open to rising juniors and seniors across Central Texas public high schools. EcoRise is committed to building a culturally diverse program and strongly encourages applications from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Individuals from historically excluded or underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

The NASA Neurodiversity Network summer internship for teens is now accepting applications from students nationwide.
These internships are for autistic high school students 16 and older who have completed algebra and at least one year of science. All interns will be paired with a Subject Matter Expert from NASA’s Science Mission Directorate who have expertise in at least one of the following areas: Astrobiology, Astrophysics, Earth and Environmental Science, Heliophysics and Planetary Science and exploration.
This is a virtual internship of a minimum of 160 hours with a $1000 stipend.
