What do you call the meeting of 50 eager, brilliant minds and 11 outstanding speakers?

Acton Summit.

This past weekend, on April 27th and 28th, 50 of our alum returned to campus for the first Acton Summit.

Our vision was to create the space for our alum to dig up forgotten lessons learned, contribute to each other as they pursue their own lives of meaning, and reconnect back to the Acton community.

That vision could not be realized without our speakers: Jeff Sandefer, Steven Tomlinson, Jeff Serra, Chris Munson, Clay Gibson, Karl Scheible, Chris Shonk, Philip Siegel, Mason Arnold, Justin Foster, and UT’s legendary Coach Mack Brown.

To the alumni that attended, we hope that you enjoyed the landmark event. We look forward to seeing you soon.

To the alumni that couldn’t make it—there’s always next year.

It's never too late to come back to school.

Acton alum Blake Smith is giving people the opportunity to "live deliberately and front the essential facts of life" with his recently opened business, Walden Retreats.

After Acton, Blake spent time considering names for his business and found a fitting namesake in Thoreau’s beloved memoirs. By redefining camping, Walden Retreats is elevating and the way people experience the outdoors.

Take a peek into the gorgeous luxury tents in Texas Monthly:
