We currently have a few open spots for children ages 18 months to 5ish! We’ll be doing lots of tours the next couple weeks. If you’d like to come see the magic of our incredible little co-op, you can message, email, or fill out our waitlist form to set up a tour!

South Austin Children's Coop The SACC is a part-time play-based learning cooperative in Austin Texas offering a community of supportive learning for children ages 18 months to five years.

As some of our seasoned Co-opers graduate to the next stage of learning this fall, we have several openings in our PreK group!

our play-based PreK program (ages 3-5) meets MWF 9am-1pm and offers a super interactive learning environment with high parent-involvement. We are scheduling tours now to fill these spots!

Play….Learn… Explore… with each other! Co-op, and pre-school age, is all about discovering the world around us all while figuring out our place within our environment. SACC is the perfect place for these things to occur, especially with the help of our amazing facilitator 👏🏼 🙌🏼

The next few weeks are filled with learning about different regions around the world, and the animals that live in those habitats! Starting with the Arctic 🐻‍❄️(sure does align with this cold front!) and ending with the Desert 🌵! Experiencing each area in terms of animals, experiments that show how it feels to be there and new terminology is all in our plan ☺️

Build it together, play with it together, eat it together 🤣

🍁FALL HAS ARRIVED!🍁

The weather is turning & the leaves are changing! All smiles here at co-op with our friends!! This past week we learned about autumn colors (brown, red, orange, green and yellow).

This week, we are going to focus on cool and cold weather! 🌨🥶 Have a great week!!

A little glimpse of the amazing Halloween parties ours classes had last week at co-op! Our space was decorated just as much as all their little faces! We especially loved trick-or-treating next-door (that’s a photo of our toddlers following the path, holding their rope, to our destination) 🎃 Thank you everyone for participating and celebrating with us!

Who is ready for Halloween? 🧙 🎃 SENSORY play has been the highlight of this unit! Slime and brains (spaghetti) and eyeballs (meatballs) and guts (jello)! We hope you have a safe & spooky holiday!!

Circle time is the children’s time to come together, say good morning, reenforce knowledge (like classmates names, colors, and letters), learn the particular weather terminology for the day, identify new words we are learning with the weekly lessons and so fourth. It’s a great way to share our space with our friends and facilitator! Not only are we learning, but understanding how to listen, too! We are loving this cool front we are experiencing, how about you? 🎃 🍃 🍁

It’s been a beautiful week here in central Texas as both classes finished up learning about our last planet, Neptune! Pre-K finished their solar system models and they came out beautifully! Swipe to see 🙂

I’d have to say, the highlight of this week for BOTH CLASSES, was finger painting with edible paint (mix yogurt with food coloring and go-get-messy!!!)
