TX CERA is hosting a two-day, in-person workshop—"From Risk to Resilience: An Introduction to Emergency Preparedness for Texas Cultural Heritage Institutions"—this August 7-8 in San Antonio!

This FREE workshop will equip participants with the practical knowledge and introductory skills to prepare for and respond to cultural heritage emergencies.

Hosted by the Texas Collections Emergency Resource Alliance (TX-CERA) at the Witte Museum in San Antonio, the program offers a comprehensive introduction to safeguarding collections and strengthening institutional resilience in the face of disasters.

In March, Humanities Texas, the Smithsonian Rural Initiative, and Texas Rural Funders hosted "Preserving Rural Stories: Resources and Grants for Historical and Cultural Organizations in the Texas Panhandle" in Amarillo.

The conference—presented in partnership with the Amarillo Area Foundation, the Texas Historical Commission, and the Texas Historical Foundation—brought together organizations from across the Panhandle and West Texas to learn about funding opportunities and resources to support their service to the state's rural communities.

📜 "Moments That Made US" is a free, customizable, print-on-demand exhibition that explores the ideals at the heart of the Declaration of Independence through moments in U.S. history that have defined their meaning.

🇺🇸 Developed through a multi-state collaboration, the exhibition features 21 ready-to-use panels that organizations can adapt to suit their specific needs and is available by request throughout 2026.
