🌱 Texas VegFest is almost here!

Join us on September 12 at Fiesta Gardens for one of Austin’s biggest celebrations of vegan and plant-based living! Spend the day exploring vegan food, local vendors, speakers, activities, and more, all while connecting with our amazing community. 💚

The AVA will have a table at the festival, so be sure to stop by and say hello! Whether you’re a longtime AVA regular or just getting to know us, we’d love to see you.

The Annual Garden Meeting was a great success! Thank you to everyone who attended, both virtually and in person.

A recap of everything discussed is available in the Discord channel. Plot renewals begin on August 17th.

Our pavilions need repair and we could use letters of support from our community. Interested in supporting? Reach out via DM and we'll send over more details.

Some major changes are in store for the upcoming garden year, including:

Quarterly garden-wide meetings instead of monthly meetings

Virtual monthly meetings for workgroup leaders, which will be open to everyone

Our next meeting is on September 26th and is particularly important because we’ll be voting for leadership positions!

Currently vacant positions include:

Treasurer

Outreach & Fundraising Leader

Volunteer Leader

South Pollinator Garden Leader

These positions are a great way to make a meaningful impact in your community and count toward members’ 2-hour volunteer commitment.

Our next meeting is on September 26th and is particularly important because we’ll be voting for leadership positions!
