🌧️ Rainy days = garden magic! 🌱✨

Our CCOA garden is absolutely thriving thanks to all the wonderful rain we’ve been receiving! From juicy watermelons 🍉 and vibrant tomatoes 🍅 to crisp cucumbers 🥒, fresh green beans 🫛, fragrant herbs 🌿, and so much more, our garden is bursting with life.

What makes this harvest even more special? Every plant started as a tiny seed carefully planted by our students during our Garden Curriculum. Through hands-on learning, our children have experienced the entire growing process—from planting and watering to observing, caring for, and maintaining the garden alongside their teachers.

This is learning beyond the classroom:
🌱 Science through observation and discovery
🌱 Responsibility through daily care
🌱 Patience through the growing process
🌱 Healthy habits through fresh foods

And the best part? Our school chef is standing by, ready to turn these student-grown ingredients into delicious farm-to-table snacks for our classrooms! 🍽️💚

It was such an honor to welcome their team to The Children’s Center of Austin as we celebrated one of our favorite traditions, our annual PreK Graduation! ❤️

During the segment, Ms. Ashley DiLorenzo, Head of Schools, and Erica Coronado, School Director, shared more about what makes CCOA special, the importance of a strong early childhood foundation, and how our PreK program helps prepare children for their next big step into Kindergarten.
