🌧️☂️ Singin’ in the Rain – Resilience Through Dance ☂️🌧️
As part of our End-of-Year Performance, our Cycle 3 students explored the theme of resilience through a choreographed interpretation of the classic Singin’ in the Rain. This timeless musical number celebrates the ability to find joy in the midst of challenges and reminds us that obstacles do not define us—our response to them does.
Through movement, expression, and dance, students brought to life the message that resilience is the strength to keep moving forward with optimism, even when circumstances are not ideal. Their performance transformed an ordinary rainy day into a celebration of perseverance, confidence, and hope, demonstrating that sometimes the brightest moments emerge from the storm.

🍎 Happy Teacher Appreciation Day 🍎 Today, we celebrate all teachers — those just beginning their journey and discovering the daily joys and challenges of this meaningful profession, those who have dedicated decades of their lives to education, and everyone in between. Teaching is a work of heart. Every day, teachers leave their own loved ones to care for, guide, encourage, and educate the children entrusted to them. We see your children’s light, potential, curiosity, and hearts every single day, and we do our very best to help them grow academically, emotionally, socially, and personally. Through time constraints, little setbacks, big milestones, proud achievements, and everyday learning moments, teachers continuously strive to support both the minds and well-being of their students with patience, dedication, and care. Thank you, families, for trusting us with your children’s growth, education, and well-being. Education is truly a partnership between teachers and families — our wonderful partners in crime. Today we honor all teachers, in every role and every form, for the difference they make in the lives of children each and every day. Happy Teacher Appreciation Day! ❤️

❄️ School Closure – Monday, January 26 ❄️

Tuesday, Januar 27 closure: In order not to wait until last-minute notifications from Austin ISD, and given that all Austin-area school districts have closed due to the possibility of overnight refreezing, unsafe road conditions, and extreme temperatures, we made the decision to close in advance. Additionally, we recognize that not all families and staff live within Austin ISD boundaries, and safety remains our top priority.

Based on guidance from local meteorologists, field reports, and decisions made by other school districts in the Austin area, Austin ISD has also closed all schools and campuses tomorrow. Following this decision, we would like to inform families that our school will also be closed on Monday, January 26, due to anticipated extreme temperatures and unsafe road conditions.

Road conditions are expected to remain unsafe throughout the day. While conditions may appear to improve in some areas, freezing overnight temperatures can create dangerous ice patches, making travel hazardous.

We encourage families to limit all unnecessary travel and to remember that roads that may appear passable are not necessarily safe.

We will continue to monitor weather updates and Austin ISD guidance. Should there be any additional updates, we will communicate with families promptly.

Please stay warm and safe.

Research Says: Children in Small French Programs Excel — Even Better, No Matter Their Home Language! We often get this question from families: “What if we don’t speak French at home — will our child still do well?”. The answer is a confident yes!

What makes the French education system so unique?
It’s not just about methods or materials — it’s about balance. From an early age, French preschools (écoles maternelles) combine structure and freedom, guidance and autonomy, rigor and joy. Children explore, choose, and create through Ateliers Autonomes — independent workshops that let them learn at their own rhythm — all within a carefully designed national curriculum. It’s this harmony between teacher direction and child independence that has shaped one of the world’s most admired educational systems.
