Applications are open for the 2027–2028 Lafayette Fellowship! 🇫🇷

Up to 30 American students under age 27 can receive full funding for one year of master’s study in France, plus mentorship, cultural immersion, and leadership programming. The fellowship is open to all fields of study, and no French is required.

How can researchers better understand the role stigma plays in the lives of people with sickle cell disease?

Ayobami Aiyeolemi, a UT Austin pharmaceutical sciences graduate student and international student from Nigeria, is developing a new scale to help researchers and healthcare professionals measure how stigma affects patients’ health, quality of life, and access to care.

Inspired by what he observed while working as a pharmacist, Aiyeolemi is partnering directly with patients to better understand their experiences and help improve care.
