Simpson, President of the Alamo Colleges Foundation , to discuss how collaboration can help foster workforce development and new pathways into the hospitality industry.

And thank you to Ben E. Keith Foods for having Emily present at the Ben E. Keith Foods Foundation Forum! We deeply value opportunities to share actionable insights with restaurant owners from across the country.

Congratulations to Lancaster High School’s Culinary Arts program! Their prize? State-of-the-art RATIONAL kitchen equipment to take their dishes to the next level.

Earlier this year, we partnered with RATIONAL Cooking Systems to challenge Texas ProStart students to showcase their culinary skills and tell us how access to a RATIONAL Smart Kitchen Lab would elevate their education.

Lancaster High School’s authentic, engaging video highlighted talented students, strong instruction, and a clear vision for the future. Under the leadership of Chef Instructor Latina Dawn, students showcased the teamwork, technical skills, professionalism, and passion that define Texas ProStart.

But this story is about more than new equipment; it's about creating meaningful partnerships that connect education with industry. This partnership reflects our broader commitment to supporting ProStart educators, expanding workforce development opportunities, and investing in the next generation of restaurant leaders through innovative programming and classroom resources.

Thank you again to Rational for sponsoring this giveaway! And give it up for Lancaster High School in the comments!

At just 20 years old, Aliz is already preparing for a career that will strengthen the restaurant industry's future. Her goal is to help restaurants and hospitality businesses build smarter, more resilient supply chains that keep kitchens stocked, operations running efficiently, and guests well served.

Aliz says, "Working in the restaurant and grocery industries taught me that every interaction matters. I realized that strong operations and compassionate service go hand in hand. Every employee—from suppliers and warehouse teams to kitchen managers and servers—plays a role in taking care of people.”

Throwback to the incredible Daddy Daughter Dance for residents participating in our Second Chances Program! These dads learned some new moves and, most importantly, got to spend quality time with their daughters. Dads got some fresh new suits, and the Texas Restaurant Foundation gifted their daughters new shoes, dresses, accessories, and jewelry. The dinner was catered by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice 's culinary arts programs.

We believe everybody deserves a Second Chance. Learn how you can help these residents change their lives at https://txrestaurant.org/TRF/TRF/Support/Impact-Investment-Fund.aspx
