Wrapping up the academic year strong!
Student Senate attended the final conference of the year—LeadMN’s Spring General Assembly—where we engaged in impactful workshops, activities, and voted in the new cabinet for 2025.
We’re proud to share that Riverland Student Senate, alongside six other colleges, received the Star Campus certificate in recognition of our hard work and successful projects this year!
A special thank you to Heather Oldeen for contributing her story to support our report contest—your voice made a difference!
This year’s accomplishments wouldn’t have been possible without the ongoing support from our campus community. Thank you all—and thank you, LeadMN!

On Monday march 24, we had the pleasure of hosting LeadMN on our campus. We would like to thank Casey and Ben for visiting us and educating us on how to manage stress and burnout as college students. We learned a lot!

On our Advocacy day at the U.S Representatives house, we met with the representatives staffers of: Georgia, Guam, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Minnesota. To them we advocated for College Affordability, including financial aid and pell grants. We also pushed for hollistic support including mental health programs, basic needs, and support for parenting students. We enjoyed speaking on these student issues with the representatives.
