Check out this informative article about the risks of binge-drinking on college campuses! In this article, Anna Miller talks about the importance of early intervention with personalized approaches to each student. This proves to be a successful way to alert college students of the disadvantages of binge-drinking and also helps them understand how to reduce any negative effects caused.

The Stice Lab is currently looking for participants for a new project called Liquid Sense, which open to all incoming freshmen between the ages of 18-22 at the University of Texas at Austin who are interested in preventing negative alcohol-related events that can occur during the first year of college.The study involves 3 assessments over the course of 7 months (i.e., baseline, 4-week, 6-month time-points). During these assessments, you will come in to the lab to complete a quick online survey. Participants will also receive a $10 Amazon gift card after completing each assessment for a total compensation of $30 in Amazon gift cards.

The Stice Lab is still currently looking for participants for the Indicated Body Project, which is a study open to all females and works to increase body satisfaction and encourage healthy eating habits! Participants will be asked to attend support group meetings and also complete a series of simply verbal and written exercises to help them think critically about their own body image. Furthermore, participants who are eligible for fMRI scans will receive additional compensation upto $150!
