🚀 Throwback Thursday: When Liftoff Educators Took Command of a Starship! 🚀

This summer, our Liftoff educators didn’t just talk about space exploration, they experienced what it takes to lead a mission.

Thanks to Mobile Space Adventures, our teachers stepped onto the bridge of a starship right inside our Liftoff ballroom! With real mission stations, a high-stakes scenario, and a crew counting on each other, educators took on roles as Captain, Engineering, Communications, and Science Officers to navigate challenges and keep their mission on course.

And here is the part that stuck with us. While our Liftoff crew “flew”, the MSA team was quietly paying attention to how the team actually worked. They watched to see who spoke up, who listened, who kept everyone connected and then walked us through it in the debrief. The Mobile Space Adventures team helped our educators uncover the leadership, communication, and teamwork happening in real time, highlighting how teams make decisions, support one another, and rise to challenges together.

Watching our teachers see their own teamwork and leadership reflected back was the best conversation we heard all summer. That is exactly the conversation we want our students having.

Our teachers experienced the same skills we want every student to develop curiosity, collaboration, problem-solving, and the confidence to take on the unknown. We want to give a big shout out to Mike Donahoo and team for bring the mission to Liftoff!

Liftoff crew, we want to hear from you:

What role did you take during the mission, and what did you discover about your team?
