Good afternoon, NYOS Families,

To better streamline communication and ensure families receive the most accurate and up-to-date information, NYOS will be phasing out the Secondary Facebook account effective July 31, 2026.

Please follow us, NYOS Charter School

Moving forward, all social media updates, announcements, reminders, celebrations, and event information for both campuses will be shared through the NYOS District Facebook and Instagram accounts. While our campus newsletters will remain separate, we are combining our social media presence to reduce duplicate information and provide families with one reliable source for school news.

We encourage all families to follow the NYOS District social media accounts and continue reading campus newsletters to stay informed about important updates, events, and opportunities throughout the school year. Thank you for your support as we work to improve and simplify communication for our community.

📢 Attention NYOS Secondary Students & Families (Grades 6–12)!

The 2026–2027 Schedule Change Request Form is now open!

If your student needs to request a schedule change, the request must be submitted by Friday, August 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Noon).

🔑 Important: The form can only be accessed and submitted through your student's NYOS Google account. Parents and guardians will not be able to open or complete the form using a personal email address. Please have your student log in to their NYOS account to submit the request.

Before submitting, students should read the entire form carefully. It includes:
✔️ The reasons schedule changes will be considered.
✔️ How requests are prioritized.
✔️ Important expectations during the review process.
✔️ The acknowledgment students must agree to before submitting.

Please remember:
📌 Submitting a request does not guarantee a schedule change.
📌 Requests will be reviewed in priority order, beginning with graduation requirements and scheduling errors.
📌 Students should continue attending the classes listed on their current schedule until they have been called by a counselor and any approved changes have been finalized.
📌 Students should not wait outside the Counseling Office or leave class to ask about their request. A counselor will contact students when it is their turn to be seen.

📣 Secondary Schedule Change Information (Grades 9–12)

The Schedule Change Request Form will be available in your grade-level Google Classroom and sent to student email on July 6.

We will begin reviewing requests the week of July 13 and will continue processing them in priority order through the first week of school.

Please remember that submitting a request does not guarantee a schedule change. Requests will be reviewed based on scheduling guidelines and qualifying circumstances.

For more details, check out the attached infographic. We appreciate your patience and look forward to a great school year!

Please note: Students/families who have not completed the Returning Student Registration and Technology Agreement (grades 8–12) may not be able to view their schedules until those items are completed.

🎓 Attention Class of 2026 Seniors & Families! 🎓

Diplomas and a copy of your official final transcripts can be picked up shortly after graduation. Please make plans to pick them up during the designated dates and times listed on the flyer below.

📍 June 1–June 4: Building 2 (Front Office)
📍 June 9: Business Office, Building B (Mr. Jon Martinez)

Important reminders:
✅ Students who need a final transcript sent to a college/university should request it directly through Parchment.
✅ Any diplomas/transcripts not picked up during the designated times will be mailed to the address on file in Skyward.

Congratulations again, Class of 2026! We are proud of you and excited to celebrate all that comes next.
