Humboldt State University is now accepting applications for the 5th Annual Bezławki Medieval Bioarchaeology Field Program, running from July 1-23rd, 2018 in beautiful Northeastern Poland. Come excavate complex (multi-individual) medieval burials and gain hands on skills in osteology, paleopathology, and trauma interpretation.
For those looking to explore childhood bioarchaeology, the program provides ample opportunity to train in non-adult osteology (ranging from fetal to older adolescent), and unique infant and child burials. As a part of the program, students will tour medieval castles, eat delicious traditional Polish food, and enjoy all that the Lake District of Poland has to offer.
We welcome applicants of diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Message me directly on Facebook, or email at [email protected] for more information about the program, fees, and application process.
