If you're someone that has applied for a LTC this year in Texas, hang in there! They're experiencing unprecedented demand and have had to reallocate staffers to make up for it. They'll get back to you but you might have to wait longer than usual.
They're supposed to issue a card within two months after receiving all of the supporting documentation, but I think they're taking longer than that...

Intruder Searches Residence for Woman, Finds Her, Gets Shot A home intruder forced his way into an apartment, searched for the female tenant, and was shot when he found her.

We are praying for the community of . This is why we train. This is why we carry. There are people out there that want you dead simply because of the way you live and they won't leave you alone until you convert or die.

It's old news but Open Carry has been legal here for license holders for several months now.

We've openly carried a few times like we used to do in Alaska and it was not eventful. The "wild west" shoot outs are no where to be seen!

Jackie and I have given some thought as to what BSD is and where we want to go with it. We've decided upon this mission statement to explain who we are and what Bobcat is about:

I'd like to post some thoughts on concealed carry options.
Shown below are two great concealed carry sidearms.

The Springfield XD-9 is on the left. My wife likes it because of how it fits in her hand and her purse. It has two safeties that have to be engaged, making it difficult to accidentally discharge in the "pocketbook"
The G***k 33 is on the right. I've been carrying it for three years on construction jobsites and in very hot weather. It's light, skinny, and yet still fits my hand well. It shoots a .357 sig, which is one of the preferred cartridges in law enforcement.

News flash: we're now certified to teach the NRA Basics of Pistol Course!
This course is designed for those that aren't familiar with handguns or shooting in general. We will take you from no experience (or little experience) to knowing the fundamentals of marksmanship, handgun handling, and will even teach you how to take apart and clean your pistol of choice.

This course is great for those interested in getting their Texas License to Carry because it talks about the practical aspects of owning and Shooting a firearm, rather than just the laws behind carrying a handgun.
