Yesterday we had the sweetest reason to celebrate! 💕

Our wonderful owner/director, Ms. Alicia, and Mr. Dan are getting ready to welcome another precious baby into their family, and we couldn’t be more excited for them. This little one is already so loved and will be joining a community that can’t wait to cuddle, love, and watch them grow.

We were so happy to surprise Ms. Alicia with a small sprinkle to celebrate this special moment. A huge thank you to our amazing teachers and thoughtful parents who helped make this surprise happen — your kindness, generosity, and teamwork truly mean so much.

Our center is more than a workplace… it’s a family. And today we got to celebrate adding one more tiny member to it. 🩷🍼

Congratulations, Ms. Alicia and Mr. Dan! We can’t wait to meet the newest little addition to our family.

Play is so much more than just fun—it’s how young children learn and grow! Through play, children practice self-regulation, build language skills, strengthen their thinking, and learn how to connect with others. When children explore, pretend, build, and play together, they are developing the foundations for lifelong learning. At Peace of Mind, we value play as an essential part of every child’s day. 💛

At Peace of Mind, this is something we encourage our teachers to do — getting down on a child’s level. It may seem simple, but it does so many important things. It helps children feel seen, heard, and respected, which builds trust and emotional connection. When adults communicate face-to-face with children, it also strengthens attention, listening skills, and language development because children can better read facial expressions, hear tone, and stay engaged in the interaction.

Getting on their level supports “joint attention,” where the adult and child share focus on the same moment or activity — a key foundation for communication, learning, and social development.

Most importantly, it shows children that their thoughts and feelings matter, helping them build confidence and stronger relationships with the people caring for them.

This little fella was having a tough morning and fell out on the floor. I seen his mother step back and look. She stated this is how he is expressing himself lately. I decided to get on his level and talk to him. He started to cry so I wiped his tears and told him it will be ok. As an adult sometimes all we want is one person to stop, get on our level and maybe wipe our tears. These children are entitled to bad days just as us, so give them that moment to bring it together. Get on someone's level today and make them smile!! Spread PEACE and LOVE you might be that person that gives them hope!
