When shampooing curly hair to avoid massive tangles shampoo in one direction starting at the forehead working back to nape. Avoid using a circling motion technique. Always shampoo the hair twice. The first shampoo is to remove product build-up and debris from the hair. The second lather is to cleanse the hair and reset hair's natural Ph balance.
