Last week at Ecstatic Dance in Austin, Texas, a group of 13 women took our tops off in an action of liberation against the double standard of men being allowed to go without shirts while women are required to wear a top. We refuse to consent to the continued oppression and sexualization of the female body via outdated patriarchal and religious views. We will not uphold this toxic culture of body shaming and "cover up" while men get to enjoy the breeze on their ni**les. WE ARE EARTH! WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS AND NO BODY IS SHAMEFUL OR WRONG FOR SIMPLY EXISTING!

If you have an idea and you want to see change happen : USE YOUR VOICE! Mobilize the power of the collective community and call on your sisters and BE the agents of change you want to see. If not you, who?! Why wait – the patriarchy is not going to collapse itself. If men "can not control their urges" when they see a topless / naked woman, the answer is not to keep women in veils and chains and silence our voices. HOW do things change if we do not step up and demand equality through our actions and have these hard conversations?

Not wanting to expose children to b***s is not the real reason…nobody loves and appreciates breasts more than kids! WE (the adults) teach them that their bodies are shameful and they internalize the harmful messaging. WE must overcome the s**t and evolve: for ourselves in this Now and for all future generations.

Since last week, there has been a very active thread going on the "Ecstatic Dance Austin" facebook group with all members of the community chiming in to have their voices heard on this issue. It may seem like an insignificant action to stage something like this at a "private event," but clearly there is a lot to say and we weren't the only ones with feelings about this discriminatory policy. All tops on or all tops off is the only fair way for this to go. Male Privilege No More!

Some more scenes from our lasted immersive performance installation at earlier this month. The Temple of the Senses featured stations for each sense where festival go-ers could have a one on one experience with taste, touch, smell, intuition, sight, and smell. By getting back in touch with our bodies and our senses, we are learning how to become aware of the earth and how we interact with it. Food grows in the soil for us to sustain ourselves on, plants have healing powers and intelligence, loving touch can heal, we all want to feel and look beautiful, music can move our souls, and our intuition will guide us through these crazy times.

We’ve been thinking of bringing the Temple of the Senses to New Orleans for Halloween weekend... who would be interested to help and run a station, make costumes, decorate, perform, etc. where should we do it? Which date? DM to get involved!! @ Taos, New Mexico

Big love and deep bow to for this volume on Activism. Every word on every page is so inspiring and uplifting - all the contributors and of course for putting it all together. This is volume 3 and the other two issues are equally incredible!

Clearly the favorite part of our Temple of the Senses interactive performance installation at was the Bu****le Serenade (aka As***le Activation) at the Sound Station with singing peoples’ names into their buttholes with an auto tune megaphone while + assisted on creating epic soundscapes to go along with it.

Here you see two clowns + doing this at the same time. If we aren’t creating spaces for best friends and strangers to laugh and play together, what are we doing? With all the trauma and drama in the world every day, we wanted to bring a safe space for people to have fun and share in new experiences and challenge their ideas about what is possible and push their comfort limits in a supportive and non-judgemental container. This whole installation was filled with one on one experiences where people got to choose what they wanted to do for each of their senses. It might seem crazy, but getting your own name auto tune sang into your own butt is actually really euphoric and pleasant, and if you ever see out there with his megaphone, just whisper your name into his ear and bend over and he’ll know what to do 😉

Each member of the crew styled their own looks to be their own unique character for this healing experience - we want to be ourselves and support each other’s uniqueness, not conform to any boxes society might put on us.

The Temple of the Senses this year at Taos Vortex was beyond. There were individual experiences at 6 stations for Sight ( .fireflow), Touch ( ), Smell (), Sound ( + , Taste (.brown .apothecara) and Intuition (). There were many lives changes, many tears shed, belly laughs and Big Goddess Energy all weekend long. Special thank you to for the fabric p***y portal entryway to the tent!
