🌟 Featured Staff: Mrs. Plowman 🌟

We’re so blessed to welcome Mrs. Plowman back to the classroom as our first-grade teacher! After 33 years of public-school teaching and a short retirement, she was excited to “unretire” and join the Redeemer family.

A proud Texas A&M graduate (Whoop! 👍), Mrs. Plowman loves all things Garfield, Aggie football, gardening, trying new recipes, fishing with her dad, and sewing. She’s also hoping to learn how to knit or crochet!

A longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, she has a heart for serving others. She has traveled to Kenya with the Redeemer Vision Clinic and visited the Audrey McShan School, finding joy in connecting with and helping children.

Her hope for this school year is to make learning about Jesus meaningful, build connections with each student, and help them grow into confident leaders and readers. ❤️

We’re so thankful you’re here, Mrs. Plowman! Welcome back to teaching! 🎉

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18

At Redeemer, we have the opportunity every day to put this verse into action.
In the classroom. At recess. In the hallway. At lunch. In the way we speak to our friends, include others, show kindness, help someone who needs it, and choose grace when things don’t go our way.

Loving others isn’t always about what we say—it’s about what we do.

May we continue to encourage our students to show God’s love through their actions, their words, and the way they care for one another throughout each school day. 💙

Do you remember your middle school dance?

Redeemer Middle School knows how to throw a party. StuCo decorated the reception room for an incredible BEACH BASH! 🌊🕶️

Last Friday night, our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders traded their school uniforms for beach vibes and danced the night away at our Middle School Dance! 🪩🌺
From great music and big smiles to lots of dancing and memories made with friends, it was a night to remember! 💃🕺🌴

RATTLER RECOGNITION!
We are proud to celebrate our very own Ashley Frye (Redeemer Class of 2014), who just made history in the world of professional cycling! Ashley took 1st place at the 24th Vuelta Femenina Internacional a Guatemala, becoming the first-ever rider from the United States to win this prestigious four-stage international race.

Over the 4 days, they raced a grueling 195 miles with a total elevation gain of 15,538 ft, and Ashley did it in 9 hours, 36 seconds, earning her the leader's Yellow Jersey and the Polkadot, Queen of the Mountain, Jersey! She and her hard-working team, Competitive Edge, brought home the Best Team Honors, as well. With this victory and a string of strong results, Ashley proves she is one of America's top cyclists. Congratulations on this historical achievement, Ashley!

Ashley has spent the last few years racing all over Europe, the US and now, Guatemala. Keep up the hard work, Ashley!

🌿 Little feet need fresh air! ☀️

Outdoor play is so much more than fun for toddlers—it’s where they build strength, confidence, creativity, and curiosity. Climbing, running, digging, exploring, and simply getting messy help little ones learn about their bodies and the world around them. 🐞🌱

So let them get outside, get dirty, and discover! The best learning often happens when little hands are busy exploring. 💚

🎶 Meet the Team: Liz Whitt! 🎶

We’re excited to spotlight one of the amazing people who helps make Redeemer special! After two years at Redeemer and heading into year three, Liz loves supporting our staff, building meaningful relationships, and helping create a culture where everyone feels supported and heard.

This year brings an exciting new opportunity as Advanced Band Director! 🎵 With a lifelong passion for music and a heart for mentoring students, Liz is thrilled to share that passion with our students.

In this season, two verses are especially meaningful:

✨ “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord… “plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

✨ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” — Proverbs 3:5-6

We are so thankful to have Liz as part of the Redeemer family and can’t wait to see all God has in store! ❤️

At Redeemer, we believe that every day is an opportunity to help our students grow—not only in knowledge, but in faith, character, and love for Jesus. ❤️

As parents, teachers, and a school community, we have the incredible privilege of planting seeds of faith that will last a lifetime. 🌱

Our prayer is that our students will grow deeply rooted in Christ, knowing His love and carrying His truth with them wherever they go.

Together, we are raising the next generation to Love Jesus, Love Learning, and Love Others. ✝️💙
