In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month HAP is honored to be hosting a guest speaker, Dr. Daniel Acosta, Jr. who will be discussing his journey into the field of pharmacy as a student, faculty member, and respected Dean. There will also be a Q & A session at the end. It will take place Friday, Oct 8 at 6:00 pm, look forward to seeing you there!

HAP will be having our Spring Spanish Webinar tomorrow at 5:30 pm via Zoom! Please join us to learn more about Heart Health in the Hispanic patient population, as well as social determinants of heath, and helpful Spanish terms to use in practice! We will be having our next general meeting of the semester today at 12:30 pm via Zoom! We will be having a guest speaker, Dr. Christopher Medlin, PharmD. , a UTCOP Alumni and current Clinical Associate Professor at UTEP COP. Are you interested in a career in academia? Hola HAP!
I hope everyone is safe and recovering from the events of the Winter Storm last week. If you can, consider joining our meeting tomorrow, Thursday February 25th at 12:30 pm sharp. We will be having a special guest speaker, and UT-HAP alumni - Doctor Jaime Pena, PharmD. Dr. Pena will speak to us about his path to pharmacy and how it has lead to his current role as an MD Anderson PGY-1 Resident. We have also reserved time for a follow-up Q&A session.
