Number Rods: It's not a worksheet, it's not memorization- it's a child literally holding the weight of "5" in their hands and going "oh THAT'S bigger than 3."

That's Montessori math rule #1: concrete before abstract. Kids get to feel what quantity means before anyone hands them a symbol for it.

So when the numerals do show up later, it's not new information. It's just a symbol for something they already understand.

Tomorrow night, we’re putting the food prep away and letting someone else handle dinner.

Join us for SITH Spirit Night at Oz Tap House! 🍔🍹

A portion of proceeds comes right back to School in the Hills, making it an easy (and delicious) way to support our school while connecting with other SITH families.

SITH Spirit Nights happen monthly and are one of our favorite ways to bring our community together while raising funds for our school.

There’s something special about the day before a new school year. ✨

While our classrooms were being prepared, our teachers were preparing too- learning, training, planning, and creating spaces where students can feel safe and supported.

Our team is ready to welcome each of them with open hearts and a commitment to empower the individual in each of our students- helping them discover who they are and what they’re capable of.

Our final day of People Around the World Summer Camp ended in the sweetest (and tastiest!) way possible. Our toddler families showed up with incredible dishes representing their cultures and heritages, giving our little travelers one last adventure before camp came to a close.

From El Salvador's pupusas to Mexico's arroz con leche, China's longan red bean rice dumplings, Southern biscuits & gravy, and even chocolate-covered matzah- our toddlers got to explore the world one bite at a time.

What a beautiful reminder that some of the best ways to learn about the world... are around the table. ❤️🌍

Breaking news: There were zero speeding tickets issued at today's Summer Roll Out. 🚲💨

Our Steiner Ranch campers pedaled through bubbles, danced to the music, mastered the roundabout, and celebrated every lap with the sweetest pit stop imaginable- a snow cone! 🍧

Tomorrow is our final day of camp- we're planning to finish strong. 🏁
