We celebrate our outstanding teachers today. I am thankful for the love and patience that each BKW teacher shows to our preschoolers. I admire how they model Jesus' teachings to all of our families and guide the little ones to love as Jesus does. Thank you, dedicated teachers, for choosing Bannockburn.

Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb.

Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.

Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” - Matthew 28:1-7

Easter presents a unique opportunity to demonstrate love despite our circumstances. Jesus' ride on a donkey exemplified peace. In the days leading up to his crucifixion, he showed love, not fear or anger, but pure love. Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolizing new life, hope, and peace.
A simple game is to use Easter eggs and roll them back and forth. You can use different objects that get heavier to roll. Then take them outside and find a boulder. Ask your child if they can move it. Now explain how the Angels were the only ones that could move the boulder from the tomb Jesus was in. The moment when Angels moved the boulder and The Tomb was empty! Jesus rose after dying for our sins!
Jesus is Alive!!!!
Have a beautiful Easter making sweet memories.

Mary Triplett, a dedicated member of Bannockburn Church, brought her meteorologist expertise to BKW. Thank you Mary! Your preschoolers benefited from learning about clouds through a hands-on experiment. Thank you Mary!!
