Dear Blue Jay Families,
We want to shine a very bright spotlight on one of the partnerships that makes an extraordinary difference at Barton Creek Elementary: Our BCE Booster Club. We simply cannot imagine Barton Creek without them!
Our Booster Club partners with us to support students, teachers, and staff by funding programs, resources, and experiences that go beyond what our district-allocated school budget can provide.
We cannot do all of this without you!
School budgets have limits. The needs of a school full of children do not always fit neatly within those limits. There are materials we need, experiences we want to preserve, teachers we want to support, and opportunities we want to provide our students.
The generosity of our BCE families helps close that gap.
That is why this year's Big Give matters. Booster Club has set a goal of raising $70,000 with 100% family participation. I would love nothing more than to see our BCE community reach both goals.
But supporting Booster Club isn't only about writing a check.
Maybe you can volunteer at an event.
Maybe you can help with a project behind the scenes.
Maybe you're a BCE dad who can join Dad's Club and lend a hand when your schedule allows.
Maybe you can attend the General Booster Club Meeting on September 1 at 8:00 a.m. and learn more about what is happening.
Maybe your family can participate in the Big Give.
Maybe this year you simply decide, “When they ask for help, I'm going to find one way to say yes.”
We don't need every person to do everything…..We need everyone to do something.
Because when you give to Booster Club, volunteer with Booster Club, or participate in Booster Club activities, you aren't simply supporting an organization.
You are putting materials into classrooms.
You are supporting teachers.
You are helping students go on field trips.
You are creating experiences like STEAM Day.
You are helping us care for our campus and the people inside it.
You are investing directly in Barton Creek Elementary.
To every family who has already donated, volunteered, attended an event, purchased BCE gear, brought cold drinks for our staff, or given your time in ways big and small: thank you.
And to our Booster Club leaders and the volunteers doing so much work behind the scenes: please know how deeply your partnership is valued. You bring a perspective to our work that helps us continue improving as a campus, and your generosity allows us to provide things for students and staff that we simply could not provide on our own.
A strong school community does not happen because of one principal, one group of teachers, or even one Booster Club. It happens when families and educators decide to build something great together.
That's what we see happening at Barton Creek.
And we hope every Blue Jay family will find a way to be part of it.
