The Rather Prize is a five-figure prize to a student, teacher, or administrator who provides the best idea to improve Texas Education. The prize is open to anyone answering the question “What is your idea to improve education in the state of Texas?”

And the winner of the 2024 Rather Prize for innovation in Texas education is Gracie Polasek, a Senior at CAST Lead High School in the East Central Independent School District in San Antonio. Learn about her idea for the Creativity Cove in this video.
CAST Lead will receive a $10,000 prize to implement her idea at the school.

We'll be making the announcement at The Rather Prize presentation at SXSW EDU in Austin at 1pm.
We will simultaneously announce it here on Facebook with a video of the winning idea.
