Hello, everyone! We are trying to plan our first meeting of the semester and we are trying to decide if we should meet on Highland campus or at a cozy coffee shop. Would you all want to meet during the week or weekends? Please let us know which days and times of the week will work for you. 🙂🙂

Hello members,

We apologize for the delay on the meeting and events. We will host our first meeting this weekend on Feb 4, 2017 @ Highland Campus from 12:00pm-2pm. The ACC Art Association would like to thank everyone who participated in the can drive. With everyone's donations we provided 157 meals. THANK YOU!!!

Peace Paper Project Event at ACC Rio Grande. We had so much fun creating paper made from refugees clothing and turning that paper into beautiful journals. I want to thank Dr. Shirin Catterson Khosropour for inviting the ACC Art Association, Drew Luan Matott director of Peace Paper Project, he also taught us how to create the paper, Mary from Austin Book Arts Center, and the director of Refugee Services of Texas. Thank you all for allowing us to be part of this beautiful event. Thank you Julie and Ramona for making it possible. To the ACC Art Association members thank you for volunteering your time for this event!

I want to thank Maria, Vanessa, and Stephanie for helping out on this event! It was a success and they were very happy with their faces.

Dear members,

Our treasurer Stephanie and I, have been talking about making a weekend trip to NYC next semester to visit Art Museums. We have worked out a plan and the cost of the entire trip. We are currently looking for options to fundraise money and looking for sponsors. In order to attend this trip you must come to all meetings from here on. You must help the group to fundraise money. For more information contact Elizabeth Alaniz via email.

I would like to thank Kevin Bergeron for redesigning our logo. The meaning behind the umbrella is that we all have different talents and it all falls under one field which is art.

For those of you attending tomorrow's event for Face Painting (Día De Los Mu***os) we will be meeting at 10am in the gas station Chevron in the corner of I35 Frontage and E. 6th St. Please wear something that's comfortable and clothing that you might be okay with getting dirty. See you all tomorrow!
