For many family members, caring for a loved one with a mental health condition is a journey filled with pressure and uncertainty. In a small rural town in India, Aakriti witnessed the profound impact of mental health challenges within her own family. Driven by a lack of awareness and support for millions in similar situations, she entered college with a mission to merge psychology and business for social good.

What started as a personal mission was further refined during the SELL Fellowship, where the vision for Cura truly took shape. By providing personalized treatment plans and effortless care management, Cura empowers families to move from a state of overwhelm to one of confidence. With a focus on caregiver well-being, AI-enabled precision, and compassionate support, Aakriti is redefining home-based care, ensuring that those who care for others are never left to navigate the journey alone.

Meet Ivy Fan, founder of Spice-A-Bowl, a simple yet powerful way to bring global flavors into everyday cooking.

With an idea that started in the SELL Fellowship, Ivy has gone on to win numerous awards for the way she is redefining how we cook at home. With a focus on convenience, reducing waste, and celebrating global flavors, Spice-A-Bowl makes home cooking easier, healthier, and more exciting for everyone.

By integrating with existing classroom technology, Avery and FrontRow are helping schools create more inclusive learning environments, giving every student a true front row experience.

Meet Sahana Raj, a SELL alum and founder of Energy Umbrella. Inspired by frequent power outages in her family’s community in India, Sahana created a portable, foldable solar system designed to deliver reliable and affordable energy in dense areas where traditional solar panels aren’t feasible.

Since her time in the SELL Fellowship, she has gone on to pitch to investors and win multiple awards! With its ergonomic, flap-style design, Energy Umbrella makes clean energy accessible anytime, anywhere!!
