Took these crazy kids to Choir Pre-UIL today. It was some great practice! Also, we got to see a duck pond, so there’s that. Not trying to brag.

Guess who’s going to State…AGAIN?!!!!! That’s right everyone! Please congratulate Eris, if you see him. Thank also to Mr. Gonzalez who was our accompanist this year!

When the school loses power and all your choir kids come together to use their flashlights and help a student find a missing screw from his glasses. Didn’t find the screw, but the teamwork was amazing! They didn’t give up until we left the room. #2023

Had the privilege of walking this awesome student the other night during the Homecoming game. I was super excited to be asked by such a great and responsible student. Thanks, Blessing! Continue to be amazing! :)

So proud of Eris for going to State. He did amazing this year and really pushed himself to be a better singer. Keep going, Eris! We all believe in you!

Today was All-City Choir for and my students had a blast participating. All of the students were fantastic and amazing to watch today. Very privileged to be included in the process and very proud of my students who represented !

So proud of the Viking Guitar program for getting all 1’s in their Concert debut for . The students also got to show off the song we wrote last year during the pandemic classes. It was an amazing display of their talent, and I am incredibly proud of their dedication to making the music more than just notes on a page.

A little late in posting this, but I wanted to give a shout out to the student I nominated for Viking Valor this year! Mason is a dedicated, artistically awesome student who never ceases to amaze you. I have him in both my guitar and theater classes, and he’s such a great asset to any class! I was just glad I could pick him before anyone else could 😊
