We are truly honored and excited to share a proud moment from our SUST community! 🌟

Kazi Tasmiya Binte Imam, Junior IT Secretary of the National Student Data Corps SUST Chapter, has been selected as a Millennium Fellow, Class of 2026, presented by United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN). Tasmiya is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).

Adding to this remarkable achievement, Tasmiya has also been selected for the ICTP Physics Without Frontiers (PWF) Bangladesh Internship 2026 — a competitive program that nurtures young scientists and innovators across the country. Her dedication to mathematics, data-driven research, mental health innovation, and youth empowerment continues to inspire all of us.

I am also deeply honored to have been invited to join the Global Town Hall Ceremony of the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2026 as her mentor. 🌍✨

This year, out of 76,000+ applicants, more than 5,500 students have been selected — representing 330+ campuses across 60 nations — all working on projects that advance the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Being part of this global community is both a privilege and a responsibility. I look forward to learning from passionate young leaders, collaborating across borders, and transforming ideas into meaningful action within my community.

Innovation Education Foundation (IEF) is celebrating a milestone that fills our hearts with pride and motivation. In such a short time since our establishment, we’ve already been recognized and funded by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) for our project:
“Expanding Pathways in the Mathematical Sciences through Mentored Enrichment, iSTEME Engagement, and Career Preparation at Huston‑Tillotson University.” PI: Dr. Farzana Hussain, CoPIs: Dr. Ahmad Kamalvand, Dr. Engin Topkara. Support for our project is provided by the Mathematical Association of America and the Tensor Foundation. This recognition isn’t just an honor — it’s a powerful validation of our mission. Even more exciting, based on performance, this project is eligible for renewal for up to three years, opening doors for long‑term impact.

💡 Through this project, IEF will provide the following support for Students at Huston-Tillotson University but some of them are open for all:
🔹 Mentored academic enrichment in mathematics and data science
🔹 Hands-on iSTEME workshops and innovation challenges
🔹 Career preparation sessions, resume clinics, and internship guidance
🔹 Research mentorship and faculty–student collaboration opportunities

Over the past three years, our student members of the National Student Data Corps – Huston-Tillotson University Chapter and the National Student Data Corps SUST Chapter, have been learning, practicing, and growing through DataCamp Classrooms.

This partnership has been one of the most valuable resources in our mission to expand data literacy, AI readiness, and equitable access to technical training. From introductory Python to advanced machine learning, DataCamp has helped our students build confidence, earn micro‑credentials, and prepare for research, internships, and global opportunities.

As we continue strengthening our academic and outreach initiatives, I’m excited to share DataCamp’s invitation for educators and institutions to join this effort and empower even more learners.

📋 STEM Futures Squad (European Digital Education Hub)
A 5-month collaborative squad (Sept 2026 – Jan 2027) working to identify innovative, scalable approaches to promoting STEM, with a particular focus on reaching more girls and women. A related kick-off workshop will also take place in Berlin in September 2026.

Two new modules have been added to the AIM-AHEAD and MATCH AI Hands-on Workshop Series on AIM-AHEAD Connect, and they're available at no cost to all AIM-AHEAD Connect members.

🆕 Module 3: Predictive Modeling Using Healthcare Data introduces learners to machine learning using real-world healthcare data. Participants will explore data preprocessing, regression and classification models, decision trees, random forests, and model interpretability techniques.

🆕 Module 4: Microscopy Image Analysis provides a hands-on introduction to fluorescence microscopy and computer vision. Learners will use Python and OpenCV to analyze cell images, quantify cellular features, and explore image processing techniques through guided coding notebooks.

The AIM-AHEAD and MATCH AI Hands-on Workshop Series provides a practical introduction to AI applications in biomedical research, helping learners build skills in working with healthcare data, medical images, and emerging AI methods.
