While we're talking tie-dye, we know some families have been thinking about the sustainability of creating new shirts every year - and so have we. It's a beloved Brentwood tradition, and we're thinking about how it can evolve over time to keep the fun and community while being more sustainable.
For this year, we're proceeding as usual with new shirts for every student, but we're also excited to try something new...
We've partnered with the LASA High School fashion department to give old Brentwood apparel new life! Their students will repurpose donated shirts into new designs as part of a school project, with finished pieces available for resale later this fall.
So, do you have old Brentwood gear your family is done wearing? Bring any old tie-dye tees or other Brentwood apparel to Back to School Night and drop them in the tie-dye transformer box in the Community Room.
Any condition welcome, including shirts with holes, stains and autographs. We'll be collecting through Monday, 9/21.
