It was perfect weather to explore and play in the garden at camp this week! Learning a language is fun, especially when you get to play outdoors.
🐸 the kids were most excited to find a toad in the garden.
🐌 insects were safely caught, viewed and released.
🔍 or viewed through magnifying glasses
🌱 herbs and veggies were identified in Spanish
🍉we were even able to eat our snack and lunch outdoors!

So lucky to have this weather in Austin summer! Looking forward to next week.

Join us at one or both sessions. Ages 3.5-8.
🇲🇽 We’re learning about México this summer while practicing our Spanish! We love making it fun to learn a language. This summer our students will be exploring the culture of Mexico through interactive lessons on the country’s artesanías (folk art), food, geography, traditional games, and music.
🧘🏽‍♀️ AND to make it an extra mindful camp, we will have our special guest yoga teacher, Ashley Romero!

🇲🇽 Today is Kid’s Day… in Mexico! Just like we celebrate mothers and fathers, in Mexico, they also celebrate the children. Take some time today to celebrate the young ones around you. They are all unique and special in their own way.

We held special classes today for our young ones to let them know they matter and are an important part of everyone’s life. And they shared what was important to them- family, nature and friends!
Celebrate your kids and let them know how much you love them!

We attended Zapata yesterday and had such a blast. The musical was engaging, interactive, funny and great for all ages. We loved the way they mixed traditional folkloric music & dance with more modern Latino music & moves.

If you can get some tickets, we highly recommend this performance! Visit the link in our bio to find out more about bilingual family friendly events we recommend.

We love all the faces kids make when they are focused! This month, we’ve been using our drum to sing some songs and learn to play “lento y rápido” (slow and fast).
🥁 Instruments always capture children’s attention and make learning fun!

🇲🇽 We’ll be exploring the instruments of Mexico this summer! Join us as we learn about traditional music such as Mariachi & folk. 🪇 🪗 🪘

Are you home this weekend? 🥶
Listen to this poem with your child!
We’ve been practicing in some of our class as we learn about winter clothes. It seems the cold weather has arrived in Austin and we can recite it with more meaning.
Is your child in Spanish class with Mariposas? Ask them to recite La nieve!
