The LMS choir have earned superior ratings at the annual UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest, superior ratings in the Schlitterbahn Soundwaves and Alamo Showcase Competitions. The Lamar choirs have had the opportunity to collaborate with the Austin Singers, the Austin Community College Singers, St. John’s United Methodist Church, and the University of Texas.

We’re excited to announce Alimental: Songs of Hunger and Harvest. 🌾🍲🥔
Join Austin Cantorum for a musical feast! Exploring choral music that celebrates regional cuisine, reflects on the nature of hunger, and examines what it means to have a purposeful relationship with the food we eat. This program connects us together through two universal languages: music and food! Featuring Pianist Dr. Gloria Kim, percussionist Jordan Walsh, and choral selections from Sydney Guillaume, Thomas LaVoy, Anna-Mari Kähärä, and more! We’re also holding a canned food drive as part of the event to benefit the Central Texas Food Bank: bring non-perishable items to donate to families in need.

Lamar Middle School Community! We wrapped up our UIL season with Our Varsity Treble Scottie Singers Choir bringing home a UIL sweepstakes trophy! They received all superior ratings from the judges at UIL, which is the highest honor you can receive.
