Volma Overton ECP Elementary

Overton teachers and staff felt the L❤️VE and Appreciation last week! Thank you to Jet's Pizza, Volma Overton ECP Elementary , PTA, and everyone who helped us celebrate!

BGCAA celebrated Daniel, a 5th grader from Overton BGC, who was recognized at the Learning All the Time (LATT) Breakfast of Champions as one of the elementary winners of the “My Afterschool Story” Writing Contest. His essay highlighted the day-to-day moments that make Clubs meaningful, from snacks and connecting with friends to exploring his creative side through illustrating and reading.

Daniel was encouraged by his Club Director, Chris Olivio, to reflect on how Boys & Girls Clubs have positively shaped his afterschool experience and helped him grow in confidence. Overton Elementary celebrated Black History Month with fabulous speeches, poems, dances, and joy! We had guests from LBJ Jaguars Athletics and Bertha Sadler Means YWLA!
