Sweetest Mona has passed peacefully into the Realms of Light.
For so many, she is mentor, mother, friend, Auntie, sister,
and for me,
she is my precious sister, matriarch of our family.
That she is loved by so many is breathtaking in scope.
There is no conceivable way our family could have made it through
these last days without being held so closely by those of you who love her. We are humbled by your selflessness and tender care.
No words can capture our gratitude for you.

She leaves behind a most loved community of actors, her sister, Aniela Costello, family; fellow Austin Actor and brother in law, Michael Costello, nephews, Nic, Gabriel, Ariah, and grand nieces, Victoria, Isabella, Melody, Rosalie, and grand nephew, Kingston.

I'm grateful for all the talent that comes through my teaching doors. I love my camera director, OC, more than words. We've been together for many years now and he is much beloved by our students. We are ready to dive into the new year. Austin/San Antonio has been a promised third coast. Let's make that happen. I remember when Rick Linklater said he wasn't going to wait on Hollywood to discover him. He was going to make his own movies. Against so many odds let's step it up like Rick. Do what you love anyway. We are.
