Deacon Chris Haberberger will be ordained to the priesthood June 6 at St. William Parish in Round Rock. He grew up in Jacobstown, New Jersey, and considers St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish in College Station his home parish because that is where the Lord first nourished and confirmed his vocation before he was ready to enter seminary.
“During the wedding of two close friends at St. Mary’s Catholic Center, I very clearly heard God say to me, ‘This isn’t for you.’ What surprised me most was the peace that came with it. I didn’t feel loss so much as clarity." - Dcn. Chris

✝ God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. (John 3:16-18)

"Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together... In Jesus Christ, this humanity in its grandeur becomes the Way, the Truth and the Life, opening the path for each of us to grow toward fullness." (Magnifica Humanitas, 1)
