🌱A Wonderful First Week!
Some came to school for the very first time,
Some came back knowing their way.
Some hugged an old friend they’d missed for a while,
Some learned a new friend’s name the first day.
There were circles to join and stories to share,
Things to create, discover and do.
Hands held outside, imaginations at play,
And teachers getting to know what's unique about you.
There were new rooms to explore and routines to learn,
New places to wonder and grow.
There were moments of courage, of comfort, of joy,
And so many new things to know.
Because every beginning looks different,
And every child finds their own way—
To trust, to connect, to wonder, to learn,
To feel a little more at home each day.
And somewhere between the playing and learning,
The stories, the laughter, the fun,
A classroom becomes a community,
And a brand-new school year has begun. 💛
🪻What a wonderful first week of school at Lupine Lane!
For some of our children, these were their very first days of school. For others, it was a return to a place they already know and love—but perhaps with a new classroom, new teachers, new friends and new opportunities waiting for them.
🎒This first week has been about so much more than learning schedules and routines. It has been about belonging.
🫶We watched children reach for one another’s hands, gather together for circle time, become absorbed in projects, create entire worlds through pretend play, reconnect with old friends and begin brand-new friendships. We watched teachers listen, encourage, laugh, comfort, guide—and begin the important work of truly getting to know each child.
👫These seemingly little moments are the beginnings of something much bigger: relationships, confidence, independence, curiosity and a classroom community in which every child knows that they have something special to contribute.
✨And this is only week one!
