“Hey, I made that!” 2026 Dougherty Art Center edition

Congratulations to all of our student award winners, and an extra special congratulations to this year’s Spirit of TCTA winners, Alex and Penelope!!! 🏆🏆🏆

This past Thursday we had a reception celebrating the amazing skill, attitude and dedication of this year’s participating tcta teens. Thank you, everyone, for another fabulous year of teen art! We hope to see you this Summer at Film and Theatre camp. More pics to come. 🐯🧡

Our reception and award ceremony is TOMORROW at the Dougherty Art Center starting at 5pm! This is your chance to celebrate with us, as well as your last chance to witness the exhibit.

TCTA’s end of season showcase opens tomorrow!

Come visit the Dougherty Arts Center’s Julia C. Butridge Gallery to see all the fantastic art from our film, creature creation, painting & poetry, and soap box derby classes.

Join us on the final day of the exhibit, Thursday, May 7 at 5pm for an event celebrating the year with refreshments and awards.

It’s that time of year. Film and Theatre camp are back!
Both camps are entirely free as always, eligible students should be in 6-12 grade. Camp will take place Monday - Thursday, 1-4pm at the Asian American Resource Center.

Film camp runs from June 8 to July 2.
Theatre camp runs from July 6 to July 30.

This past Saturday's Soap Box Derby Championship was a success! We had a great time watching the races and admiring the cars. Roving Leaders "Hot Rod" car ended up taking the gold trophy, and of course we had to celebrate with some sparkling cider. Check out these pictures from the event to re-experience some of the fun!
