Hello, Luna Montessori Community! 💛 It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself. I’m Eloisa (Ms. Elo to the little ones), the owner and guide behind Luna Montessori. I’m a certified Montessori guide with over a decade of experience working closely with children and families. My work with children began in pediatric dentistry and photography, and over the years, I’ve learned just as much from the children I’ve guided as I have from my formal training. 🥰

I’m also a native Spanish speaker and a student of sign language, and I love naturally weaving both into our days through songs, conversation, and everyday interactions! 🤟🏼

Luna Montessori has evolved over the years into the intimate toddler community it is today, and the toddler years have such a special place in my heart. There is SO much happening in these tiny humans — language, independence, movement, relationships, confidence, identity — and I genuinely love getting to slow down enough to notice it all. 💕

My work is deeply rooted in Montessori and everything I’ve learned through years of being with young children. The environment I’ve created blends Montessori principles, Conscious Discipline tools, and unstructured outdoor time. I care deeply about independence, respectful guidance, emotional development, movement, and giving children the space to do the wonderfully important work of becoming themselves. 🫠 It is small and personal on purpose, built around a belief that young children deserve to be taken seriously and given the softness, patience, freedom, and joy that childhood deserves, while still being held with clear, respectful boundaries that help them feel safe and supported.

And then there’s my daughter Luna of course, the little big person who continues to teach me about childhood in ways no certification ever could. 🥹💖 I’m proud of my journey and proud that I’m still learning. And I’m incredibly grateful that families trust me with these very important little years. This is Luna Montessori. And I’m really happy you’re here. 💛

Our Sandpaper Numerals always get lots of love. 💚 The navigators trace each numeral with their fingers before placing them back in order, and I always love watching them stop, think, and figure things out. Sometimes a numeral ends up out of sequence, and that’s okay too. I simply make a note to revisit the lesson another day and let them keep enjoying the work. It’s such a peaceful material that helps them become familiar with numerals while their little hands get the practice they’ll eventually use for writing.

And just like that…another Luna Montessori Chapter closed. 🥹🙏🏼💕🤗 Today we had a sweet little bridging ceremony honoring growth this year and recognizing our navigators transition into a new chapter 💛 We celebrated our oldest Navigators as they prepare for their next adventure in August, but in many ways all of our navigators are crossing into something new as they continue growing through these early years together.
Each child has grown in their own beautiful way, in independence, confidence, friendship, language, movement, curiosity, and heart. Watching those tiny everyday moments unfold here at Luna Montessori has been such a gift. Thank you Luna families for trusting me with your children during such tender and important years. It has been such a privilege to witness their growth, to learn alongside them, and to be part of their story. I am so proud of each of them and so grateful for this little community we’ve built together 💛

A little non Montessori Mother’s Day post for today. 🥹🫶🏻

Also, this is not an ad for Jared whatsoever 😂 I just genuinely have such respect for them now and wanted to share my little Mother’s Day surprise for my mama. 🥰

A week ago I walked into Jared hoping to surprise my mom for Mother’s Day by restoring my great grandmother’s ring and somehow they made it happen in time. 😭 I had already called and driven around to like 5 different jewelry stores and kept getting told one thing over the phone and then another once I got there 🫠 Anyway, the lovely folks at Jared replaced the missing center stone, all of the other stones too, and polished it completely bringing my bisabuelita Lochita’s ring back to life. Seeing it restored like that was sooo emotional because I just kept imagining maybe that’s what it looked like when she first got it. 😭🫶🏻

When it was finally time to surprise my mama, they let us use their private diamond room which made the whole moment feel even more special 🥹 and yes there’s definitely a few seconds in the video of us struggling to open the ring box. 🫠😅 It was such a sweet memory for our family especially having my daughter there making it three generations. I genuinely have so much respect for everyone at Jared now, especially Shahid (Sid) at the Arbor Trails location, for being so kind through the whole process. We really loved it.🥲🙏🏼💞

Last week we went to the Austin Nature & Science Center for our yearly school outing and it was such a beautiful day! 🥹 The navigators loved seeing the animals, walking the trails, and taking their time exploring everything around them. There was a lot of excitement, and a lot of sweet little moments. I always enjoy getting to spend time like this with our families outside of our regular days. A big thank you to all of my families for making it out, I meant a lot to share that time together! 🥰
