It is HOT out there, and every afternoon, our amazing Grandview Hills staff is outside making sure more than 400 Eagles get where they need to go safely: across the street, into the right car, onto the right bus and headed home after a long school day. 🦅💛

Herding 400+ kiddos at dismissal is no small task, so PTA is bringing a little refreshment their way! 🧊🥤

This week, we’ll have a cold drink station set up for staff during dismissal, and we need a few volunteers to help hand out drinks from 2:30- 2:50 p.m.

It’s a quick, easy way to show our teachers and staff a little love while they’re out there taking care of our kids.

🍎 GHE families: One important back-to-school reminder!

Did you know that Free & Reduced Meal applications need to be renewed every school year?

For 2026–27, students who qualify for reduced-price meals will receive FREE breakfast and lunch at school. Even if you’re not sure whether your family qualifies, it’s worth taking a look! 🥪💛

Completing an application can also help qualifying families access additional reduced-cost programs and services, AND it helps Grandview Hills Elementary receive important funding that supports our schools and students. 🦅

What a wonderful night welcoming our Eagles back to Grandview Hills! 🦅💛

Whether tonight was a return to familiar hallways or your family’s very first time walking through our doors, we hope you left feeling a little more connected, a little more excited, and very much a part of this community.

A huge thank you to the community partners who helped make tonight, and the start of our school year, extra special!

💙 Frost Bank helped stock our staff lounge with sodas and snacks to keep our teachers and staff fueled during this busy back-to-school week.

☕️ Ally Medical ER gave our staff lounge a serious caffeine upgrade with a brand-new coffee maker, coffee pods, syrups and all the extras our staff needs to start their mornings strong!

🌿 We were also thrilled to welcome the Travis County - Balcones Canyonlands Preserve team and introduce them to our families. With their new visitor and education center coming right across the street from Grandview Hills, we are so excited about the opportunities ahead for our students to learn, explore and connect with the incredible natural world right in our own backyard.

And most of all: Welcome back, Eagles! To our returning families, we’re so glad you’re here. To our new families, we’re so glad you found us. 💛

Here’s to a school year full of new friendships, strong community and plenty of reasons to come together.

Community partnerships like this make a real difference for our school. Frost Bank’s support helps our PTA provide meaningful programs and experiences for students, support and celebrate our teachers and staff, bring families together through community events, and continue investing in a welcoming, connected campus for everyone.

What a week it’s been at Grandview Hills! 🦅✨

From welcoming our incredible teachers back to campus, to Chalk the Walk, and tonight’s New Family Orientation, our school has been buzzing with excitement—and we’re just getting started.

Seeing new families walk through our doors, meeting our amazing staff, and watching our community come together reminds us why we love this place so much.

Thank you to every volunteer, teacher, staff member, family, and community partner who has already jumped in to help make this school year special. Every smile, every helping hand, every encouraging word—it all matters.

We truly believe everyone has a place. Everyone has a part. ❤️

Now…bring on Meet the Teacher! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back on Monday and officially kick off another incredible year.
