🚗⏰ Morning Drop-Off Reminder: The Gate Closes at 7:40!
We know mornings can be tough. We've all had those days! But at Uphaus, the parking lot gate and school doors close at 7:40 a.m. sharp—which means you must be inside the gate by 7:39 a.m. to use the car line or walk-up entrances.

After 7:40, you’ll need to park on the street and walk your child to the front office for a tardy slip.

💙 We get it—being late is stressful! But please, please remember:
👀 Little eyes are watching.
When grown-ups yell or act out at our staff when they are late, children see and learn.
Our staff is just doing their job—keeping students safe and the day running smoothly.

⚖️ We can’t make exceptions—if we let one car in late, we’d have to let every car in late.
7:40 means 7:40. That’s just the way it is.

So let’s show our kids how to handle bumps in the road with patience, kindness, and a deep breath.
We appreciate your partnership, your understanding—and most of all, your example. 🐼💙

🚗⏰ Recordatorio de la mañana: ¡La reja se cierra a las 7:40!

Sabemos que las mañanas pueden ser difíciles. ¡A todos nos ha pasado! Pero en Uphaus, la reja del estacionamiento y las puertas de entrada cierran exactamente a las 7:40 a.m.
Eso significa que debe estar dentro del estacionamiento antes de las 7:39 a.m. para poder usar la línea de autos o las entradas peatonales.

Después de las 7:40, tendrá que estacionarse en la calle y acompañar a su hijo(a) a la oficina para recibir un pase de tardanza.

💙 Entendemos que llegar tarde es estresante, pero por favor recuerde:
👀 Los niños están observando.
Cuando los adultos gritan o se molestan a nuestro personal por llegar tarde, los niños aprenden de ese comportamiento.
Nuestro personal solo está cumpliendo con su responsabilidad: mantener a todos seguros y que el día escolar comience bien.

⚖️ No podemos hacer excepciones. Si dejamos pasar a un auto tarde, tendríamos que dejar pasar a todos los que vienen detrás.
Las 7:40 son las 7:40. Así son las reglas.

Mostremos a nuestros hijos cómo enfrentar los contratiempos con paciencia, amabilidad y una respiración profunda.

For a smooth and speedy drop-off and pick-up, your child should get in and out of the car from the back passenger side.

Got a car seat on the other side? Now’s a great time to switch it over!

A quick adjustment now means a faster, safer start from day one! ⏱️✅

Morning Drop‑Off for Siblings

Uphaus has two morning drop‑off entrances:
*PK4 & Kinder Entrance
*PK3 Entrance

These entrances are located near each child’s classroom.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 If you have children in both drop‑off areas, please stop at both entrances in the morning.

🚗 In the afternoon, siblings can be picked up together. Your child’s teacher can provide more information.

Uphaus tiene dos puntos de llegada por la mañana:
*Entrada de PK4 y Kinder
*Entrada de PK3

Estas entradas están ubicadas cerca de los salones de clase.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Si tiene hijos en ambos puntos, deberá detenerse en ambas entradas por la mañana.

🚗 Por la tarde, los hermanos pueden ser recogidos juntos. El maestro(a) de su hijo(a) le dará más información.

Comment “CONTROL” to learn the signs of poor postural strength…

Laying on the desk is a sign of a child who may have poor postural strength. Kids who tend to have weak core muscles may also have trouble holding up their torso for tasks that usually come naturally to others.

If a child needs help developing postural strength, you may often find them doing the following:

😒Laying on their desk
😒Placing head on desk while writing notes on paper
😒Uncoordinated
😒Falls frequently or appears clumsy
😒Fidgets or struggles to attend

Children who need help improving their postural strength can do a number of activities that can support this area of learning. To check out activities and suggestions to strengthen a child’s core and posture, comment “CONTROL” and we’ll send you the link.

PK4 & Kinder:
➡️ Use the right lane to go to the back of the building.
➡️ Usa el carril derecho para ir a la parte trasera del edificio.

PK3:
⬅️ Use the left lane to pass PK4/Kinder and head to the opposite side.
⬅️ Usa el carril izquierdo para pasar el tráfico de PK4/Kinder y llegar al lado opuesto.

🔁 The traffic pattern will change once you pass the PK4 & Kinder doors.

🚗 PK3 cars will pull over to the right to unload/load.

🚗 Adults stay in the vehicle; an Uphaus staff member will assist your child.

🚫 Please do not get in the PK3 line to exit if you are not a PK3 parent — it slows things down for everyone!

🚗 Family Tip of the Day: Please don’t park in reserved staff spots!
We love that you’re here, just not in someone else’s parking spot.

If the space is marked “Reserved,” please skip it! That includes spots labeled for specific roles like Parent Support Specialist, Counselor, Librarian, or Head Custodian.

✅ Park in unmarked or “Visitor” spots instead.

🪑 Imagine showing up to work and your chair is gone… same vibes. 😅
