🌟Ever notice how empaths often feel compelled to pour their energy into others who seem emotionally drained? It’s a natural instinct to offer support, love, and compassion. And is a beautiful trait.
Nevertheless, many times it doesn’t help others fill their cup, which is a frustrating experience for the empath.
Just as water protector and activist Maude Barlow said: “When we extract water from a fertile place to water a desert, we don’t end up with two fertile places, we end up with two desserts.”
By constantly giving from our own reserves to uplift the others, we might not be creating two happy environments; instead, we risk depleting ourselves. The key is not to give away our energy but to understand what fuels and sustains us. Focusing on nurturing our own well-being and helping others learn to cultivate their own sources of energy, we create a more balanced and thriving emotional space for everyone. 🌱✨
And along the way, we might need to rethink the concept of being "selfish" ;)? 🤔

✨ The fine line between instinct and impulse can be tricky, right? We’re often told to trust our inner voice but warned about being too impulsive. So, how do you tell them apart? 🤔
They can feel so similar, and sometimes you only figure it out after the dust has settled. But here’s a little tip: don’t immediately dismiss your emotions, even if they seem impulsive. Instead, wait it out—give it 24 hours. ⏳
If you still feel strongly about that action after the wait, it’s likely your instinct guiding you. If it feels rushed or you can already see it might lead to a less-than-ideal outcome, maybe it’s time to pause and find a new way to respond. 💡
Experiment, trust the process, and remember—there’s wisdom in patience. 🌱
